What these prices mean for an Australian business
Three numbers, all in AUD, all excluding GST, all on an invoice with ABN 13 397 539 044. Nothing is quoted, nothing is negotiated, and nothing changes after you pay.
A $500 AUD + GST website is $550 AUD out the door. Australian agencies quote $5,000 to $15,000 + GST for the same three pages, and the gap is not craftsmanship - it is account managers, discovery workshops, and CBD office rent in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. We do not carry any of that, so the price is the price. You get a tax invoice with the GST shown separately, which your bookkeeper can claim back if you are registered.
The $100 AUD + GST CMS add-on exists because most Aussie tradies and small operators eventually want to change a phone number, add a service, or update their hours without emailing a developer. It is a simple Pages CMS layer over the same hand-coded site - not WordPress, not a plugin, and not something you pay for monthly. Buy it now or six months from now; the price does not move.
The $99 AUD + GST monthly plan is for businesses that actually want to rank. It covers managed edge hosting served fast across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart and Darwin, plus ongoing SEO work, Google Search Console monitoring, and a plain-English ranking report each month. If you only want somewhere reliable for the site to live, hosting on its own is $10 AUD + GST. Both cancel any time, and either way the code stays yours.
You do not need to be GST-registered to buy. If your turnover is under $75,000 AUD you generally do not need to register at all - you simply pay the $550 AUD total and keep the tax invoice for your records.
If $99 AUD + GST a month is not enough search firepower - you are fighting for competitive terms across multiple suburbs, or you need content and digital PR rather than maintenance - that work runs through our agency, Underdog Digital. Same people, same standards, scoped and quoted properly rather than squeezed into a flat monthly fee. Most Australian small businesses never need it; if you are chasing a whole metro market, you probably do.
